Last Blog

I have learned a lot from this assignment, more then I ever thought I would. I have learned many different things, including I really have learned how different people really are. That we aren't all the same, we have different views, and we like to express these views. I personally have appreciated this assignment to the fullest, because I belive it is a great way to interact with people of different origins and background then myself, including I have learned a lot about the country Australia. Including how special it really is for us to all be different, because life would be boring if we all agreed on everything the same; but all of us being different, it makes life interesting. Another thing I won't to point out is it gives a voice to people who might be shy and afraid to let their opinion be heard, I know that's true for me in some cases. To wrap this up it's a cool assignment and I hope it is continued in the future, but I would like to see it expand so we could learn about more cultures and societies.

Week 11&12

In the U.S. there is a lot of diversity, especially in Austin. People all over the world live in the U.S., this is why they call this country a big melting pot. People of different ethnicity have nothing to worry about because the constitution says all men are created equal, which garenties the rights to all people living in the U.S. This is what makes America such a great country, because of all it has been through it still stands strong with all of its morals. In Anderson High School there are many different types of ethnic groups from African American to Asian, and we all get al0ng great. Diversity is not a problem in the U.S. and if an issue should happen we take care of it with great authority to make sure that everybody has the same rights. Well guys this is one of the last blogs of the year and i just wanted to say it was fun, because I learned how different people really are! Well bye!

Week 9&10

My favorite places in the U.S. is San Fransisco California, New York city New York and Austin Texas. San Francisco because I was born here and I go back every year for thanksgiving to see my cousins. I also love the scenery and the culture in California. New York city because of it's environment, I have been there twice in my life and plan to go back many times in the future. Mainly because of the way this city is different from other locations all around the U.S. Including Austin, even though I live here when I move out I will want to come back in the future because what Austin meens to me know is an unforgetable experience. Well I'll talk to you guys later, Bye!

Week 7&8

America is known for being a dominant country around the world. Most people believe they don't have to worry about terrorist, but thats not true. We had a fatal terrorist attack Sep.11 2001. We were attacked by Islamic phashion. There motivation was simple, kill as many Americans as they could, by hijacking planes they commited suicide with these planes to kill inicent people. Including since Sep.11 other terrorist attacks have been planned but the government has stopped them before they could engage in it. Since Sept.11 has happened the government has taken control of the issue by listening into American's phone calls. Many Americans have had problems with this because they say it interferes with there privacy. It its right or wrong I personally believe it's okay, because you can stop attacks before hundreds of lives are lost. Well I hope you guess respond. Bye!

Week 5&6

Are school is called Anderson High School. We have many different ethnic groups here but we get along with no problem. Sports is a huge part of our school, we have Football, Soccer, Baseball, Volleyball, Wrestling, Swimming, Cross-Country, Ultimate Frisbee, and alot more. At are football games usually a lot of the students go to watch are varsity team play and the band plays during the game, its really fun. We also have alot of different clubs too like debate, ping-pong, anima and alot more. It's a really fun environment to because you get a lot of freedom to do a lot of different things. Whats really cool about are school is everybody shows spirit. For example a lot of students like the UT football team here in Austin and when they win against teams like Missouri everbody wears orange. Well this is Anderson, and I hope you respond with questions about it, bye!

Week 3&4

We do have Illegal immigrants in our country. We have many different types of illegal immigrants: Mexican, Cuban, Asian, Venezualan, and just all over the world. Are main type of Illegal immigrants are Mexicans though, because the money is better here. They mainly come too America for the job oppurtunites available here. There have been cases were these Illegal Immigrants would come over and work, then send the money they made to their families in Mexico. Are country tries too deal with it in many different ways. First they offered green cards too the Illegal Immigrants in the country too work there way too citizenship. Then the Illegal Immigrants who came after that or didn't come out of hiding, are trying too be found by the government and are being sent back too were they came back from. We have also started a wall between Mexico and us too try too stop the flow of the Illegal Immigrants. My personal standpoint on it is we should give the current ones a chance and not let anymore in without going through the process too get a green card. Well I hope you guess respond and I'll see you later!
